Rachel is based near Winchester in the beautiful Hampshire countryside. She studied at Chelsea college of art and design and began her interior design career working for the well renowned Interior Designer Lady Victoria Waymouth, whose Chelsea design studio was considered pioneering with it's English design roots and eclectic mix of combining styles from around the world. Rachel was involved with the designing for suites at Claridge's Hotel, a Chateau in Switzerland and various substantial residential properties throughout London, Europe & Kuwait.
In 2004 Rachel partnered with the specialist decorator Carolyn Benson in setting up her first interior design studio 'Benson Studios Ltd'. They worked on numerous residential projects & the overall look was elegant, shabby chic with antiques and modernist pieces, bespoke and specialist finishes. Using simple cloths of cotton and linen with highlights of embroidery & printed patterns they specialised in upholstered and hand painted walls. Together they were named in House & Gardens leading 100 designers and featured in the book 'Spectacular Homes of London'.
Rachel later designed for Intarya; the interior design arm of the high end property developers Northacre in London designing the interiors for their developments and private clients on numerous luxury apartments at the Lancasters Hyde Park, Town Houses and a Grade II country property. Along with the design team Rachel featured in the Andrew Martin Design Review book.
Rachel has taken and developed this invaluable background and provides a personal decorative interior design service. She leads and co-participates on interior design & decoration projects for her own private clients as well as property developers, architects and award winning interior designers on residential properties, hotels, executive offices and restaurants.
